Birthdays

We've had one of those paper goody days where I get excited about the paper and everyone else seems to like what's inside. The other thing I like is that lots of people come to see me. That Beth came and lived here for a few days as well. No Gary Cat though. I hope he was alright with Ed looking after him. That Beth did some nice cooking for us all. Last night the he and she boss went out and it smelled like they'd eaten something nice again. This time they brought me back a nice bit of knuckly stuff. I think there might have been a bone in there somewhere too but I'm not allowed those. I like them very much but they always come back on the kitchen floor in the night so they can't be too keen on me.

Strange way of going about stuff

It's been a strange sort of week. The he and she boss seem to have been out loads. The thing is, they both go out early in the car then the he boss comes back when it's nearly my dinner time in the car without the she boss. She comes back even later and walks in. It looks like he's taken her somewhere a long way every day to try and lose her. He should know she knows her way around better than him and is likely to find her way back. I'm glad she does. She brings me one of these back everyday for a present. Tasty

Grapes

Uncle Ted and Aunty Joy have been here tonight doing lots of eating, talking and watching on our picture box. I thought Uncle Ted was my friend but he sat and ate all my grapes. I tried asking by sitting nicely and looking longingly but he didn't get the hint or didn't want to so then I tried glaring until the she boss told me off for being  rude and sent me out the room. Honestly! Is it my house and my grapes or what?

The she boss has been having a sort out. It was absolute bliss for me. All that paper. I know it looks like I'm not very nice on that picture but I'm smiling really. Honest. I wasn't allowed too much. Something about bunging me up

Parties

It's been all madness here for ages! We've had so many people coming and going - new friends, old friends, new family, old family. I think the only person who didn't like me was a lady called Misha who was here last night. I was very good and kept out of her way even when she went upstairs to the little room with the funny drinking bowl in.
We've done a lot of coming and going ourselves which has meant some pretty good walks and a visit to Gary Cat's house. It was nice to catch up with him and his adventures. It's been very cold for both of us and no one's bought him a warm coat although he's got a thicker one of his own than me. I'm just glad of the hot flickery fire we've got.
At last it was quiet today with just the he boss and me. Phew
