So popular

What a lovely day. All it needs to round it off is a good walk over my favourite hills but it's dark now.
There have been lots of friends round our house today. There were old friends like friendPeter, Patrick, t'other Patrick n Marj and quite a few new ones who really liked me especially someone called Ben who friendPeter brought. I didn't know he'd got friends other than me cos I never see any. I'm glad he has cos he's a long way away and the she boss doesn't take me to see him very often and he hasn't been here in a while.
When lots of little people started coming, I put my coat on and waited in the car until they went again. That was OK cos they left lots of tasty things on the floor for me to eat and there were still some people to play with me in the house.
It's all quiet now but I think there are some pretty good leftovers waiting for me to have. Can a MillieDog's day get much better than that?

Walkies

The she boss doesn't take me over my favourite Malvern hills any more since she's been walking funny and I really miss it. I'm wondering if I could sneak myself onto the train every now and then and tag on to someone else's walk like this fella: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/north_yorkshire/8411704.stm I know the trains go there cos we've watched them from the top of the hill. He's given me a good idea I reckon

Hills

Me and the she boss have been back over some of our favourite hills today. We haven't been there in ages and it was good to be back. I was a bit edgy though. I kept hearing bangs. The she boss said she thought they were bird scarers. More like MillieDog scarers. We didn't walk as far as we used to. I think the she boss is out of practice. We had some rests where the she boss stayed a long time taking in the view. She did some writing about something for a while until I told her it was time to move. I'm sure she even dozed off at one point. So did I if it comes to that but I was getting rather tired by then. It was a real nice day.
It's been a bit strange here with comings and goings so it was good to get to something familiar. I had some visitors last night called Mark & Kathy although I don't think they came to visit me or were really that pleased to see me. Sammy went out yesterday and took nearly everything from his bedroom so I thought he wasn't coming back but he came today for a little while with a friend called Abi who was pleased to see me. I'm glad Sammy came back as I was feeling a bit sad about him taking all his things. He still seems to be friends with us all so it's not because of that that he's gone. I hope he comes again soon

More about fame and other things

Today was gooood. I've had 2 days of sitting in on my own. I never mind the first. It gives me time to sit and think a bit about life in between sleeping and listening for the postman. The second day gets a bit boring after a bit but I always know the third day is coming and that's usually good. This third day, me and the she boss went on a really good walk. I'm sure she called the hills we were on (not very big ones by the usual standards - more of an excuse for hills really) Licking Hills but I must have heard wrong. They'd never be that as I get told off for licking so she wouldn't take me anywhere that gave me ideas.
It occurred to me today, thinking a bit more about fame following on from last Monday. There could be an easier way than trying hard to be a hero. Imagine if me and the she boss were out walking and she called me like she does - "Come on theMillieDog" and someone heard and said "Wow! Is that THE MillieDog, the one who writes all those sensitive, insightful, witty things on her blog?!" Nuff said

Summer

Glorious summer evening over Malvern. NOT!

Sigh

The she boss took me to the Malvern Hills again last night. The weather was a bit wet and it got dark very early so we didn't stay too long. We'd left the friend Peter behind somewhere as well so had to find him as well as the she boss having to find me when she lost me. It wasn't nearly as good as last time but it still feels a bit like a holiday there without the flappy house. I really would like a proper holiday again though. It's about time we had one

Evening out

We had a great evening yesterday, me and the she boss. We did all the usual just got home things like have food, wash up then she got into all her walking gear and took me all the way down the motorway to Malvern hills! I was thinking it was a waste of time going that late and was a bit fed up with the car journey but I'd forgotten we've got REALLY big days now. We had a brilliant time and stayed until it was getting dark. It was very clear - great for seeing the rabbits. I did a lot of running around and had to go on the lead because I got too hot but it was fun. It smelled like Summer :p

Walking

I've been taken for a lovely walk today. Just the she boss and me. We went back to those Malvern Hills where I haven't been for a while. She didn't warn me about the weather though. I got soaked. It's alright for her in those swishy clothes she puts on to keep all dry and snuggly. I did make a run for the car a couple of times (not that I knew where I was going) but got stopped and made to carry on. It was great in between the showers though. We walked a long way and I didn't have to go on the lead once as we didn't see anyone else or any white woolly things to get in the way. Lots of rabbits though :D
We went over that hill where the people used to camp back in the day until the Roming people came and threw them off. You'd be able to keep your eye on everything up there but it's a long way down to the toilet. Not that bothers me of course.
Talking of which, someone asked a very personal question the other day. Aunty Olly asked before now a complete stranger asked why do I hold one back leg up when I squat for a pee! How personal can you get. I have 2 answers: Why not? and Because I can. I bet you can't

More Malvern

We went back to Malvern today. Haven't been there in ages. We had a fab time and, as there were no silly white sheep or anything else around much, I had a real good run. I saw my old friends, Mark & Ade again. It was good to see them and a new lady called Ginnie came in our car. I had to sit in the back. I didn't really mind that much and she was nice to me. Ade was a different shape to when I saw her last time and we stopped lots of times for her to have a rest. I don't know what that's about.
Lots of those flashy noisy things have started since we got back so I'm glad I'm at home now because I can hide but I wish I'd had my dinner first. I might be too scared to eat it. I'm quite tired though so I'll probably sleep a lot this evening
