Dog walking

It's a good job my he and she boss don't do this. I'd have something serious to say about it http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/wear/8544298.stm

Different sort of mountains

A man came today with a big truck and made a mountain on our front drive. Good job the he boss had moved his car. He wouldn't have been happy. I had the feeling he'd been expecting it but didn't expect it to be quite that big. Shame the she boss wasn't there cos then you'd have had a photo. The he boss spent hours then moving all the mountain to the back garden. It was all very exciting and I couldn't wait until the she boss came home to tell her all about it. I went mad telling her when she came. Then she helped move some of it too and everywhere looks back to normal already. I'm impressed. Luckily it didn't rain all the time the he boss was outside for a change. The she boss took me for a walk (to get some chocolate really) tonight and we got soaked. Again. All this rain isn't funny any more.

Evening out

We had a great evening yesterday, me and the she boss. We did all the usual just got home things like have food, wash up then she got into all her walking gear and took me all the way down the motorway to Malvern hills! I was thinking it was a waste of time going that late and was a bit fed up with the car journey but I'd forgotten we've got REALLY big days now. We had a brilliant time and stayed until it was getting dark. It was very clear - great for seeing the rabbits. I did a lot of running around and had to go on the lead because I got too hot but it was fun. It smelled like Summer :p

Bah!

I'm glad blobby Bobbie had a good holiday. At least she had one. I was right about the she boss going on holiday. The bad news is, she didn't take me. I can't believe she could leave me behind. I tried to go but I picked the wrong car door to sneak in. I should have realised she would notice I was sitting on the pedals! :s I was really pleased to see her back tonight though.
I've had a bit of an adventure while she was away. I managed to catch one of those big black birds in the garden. One of them was shouting at me in the park the other day, so I thought I'd get them back. I didn't do too much but he seemed to be having trouble flying afterwards. When the he boss went out in the garden afterwards, there were a load of them all flying down over him. Scary. All my fault.

New house

I've been to live in a different house for a week. I think I've been there before with the he boss and Beth but I was very young then. This time all five of us went. It's a brilliant place with great walks down to the beach every day as long as the cows don't get in the way on the field on the way there.
I slept upstairs the first night to make sure they were all OK up there but there was a nice cosy space for me that I remembered from before in Sammy's room so he let me sleep in there after that. This is the view on the first couple of days from the room upstairs:

You can see the horses I went over the wall to say hello to but got told off.
It's good having all of us cos everyone has a go at driving which means I get to sit by someone different every time.
We went to the theatre by the sea and I had a practice at being the exhibit on the empty plinth in London. I think I'd make a good work of art:
We saw some great sunsets and went for walks high above the sea to sit and watch some of them. I must admit, I was more interested in the rabbit smells but I did have a quick look: One day, they took me to a place with lots of other dogs and left me all day!! They went in one of those cars that go in the sky. I know because I saw them waving out of the window. I'm glad I didn't go on there with them but I was really scared where they left me. The other dogs did alot of barking and it got late. I was worried they might not come back to me although the man was very kind and gave me a walk. One of the mornings, we all walked down to the beach and we had breakfast there! That was a novelty. I like the beach very much and have some good run rounds. It's good job as sometimes, I had to wait quite a while in the car for them to come back if we went somewhere but I was usually glad to have a good sleep after a walk. Here's me on the beach:
And on one of my long walks. That sandy beach has always had stones all over it the he and she boss said when they've been here before:
And this was me at Land's End. The man there wouldn't let me go and have my photo taken properly so this was the best we could do:
One evening, we went to eat dinner with Estella and Paul which was really nice as I don't see them very often. I can see why now if they live all that way away. I was very excited to see them and embarrassed myself by keeping on falling over on their slippy floor like a baby.
One day we had a long drive to somewhere I got left in the car again but we saw Jenny who came to the she bosses party and her boy Cameron who came to our house once. It was worth waiting in the car to see them. They'd been round some sort of garden centre by the sound of it so I didn't miss much.

I really liked it down by the sea side and am a bit sad to come home again especially as it is so cold here. We had a lot of fun and it was good having all of us together. I hope we go to the beach again soon but I would like to live in the flappy thing next time instead of a house.

Yet ANOTHER holiday .....

...... and I hadn't got a clue we were going to go. We only went for a couple of nights but we had a fab time. I recognised some of it from when I went camping with the she boss when the weather was warm but this time we took the he boss as well and stayed in someone's house. It was very nice there. Do you like the view from thewindow?

We had a fantastic walk all over a very big hill. I got right up close to some birds called grouse. I wasn't allowed to chase them or the silly white sheep but it didn'tmatter as there was plenty else to see and do. When we were right on the top, we could see for miles and it was very strange in places. The she and he boss agreed it must have been a bit like the moon must look like but I didn't really care as I could smell rabbits.

The only thing about the house that I didn't like was that there was a small boy there as well. I didn't really see him but he was bouncing a ball outside our door one time and trying to come in. That was a bit scary cos I didn't know what he might try next.
We went in a different car. I thought the he boss must have a new one as I'd seen it outside our house but hadn't been in it before. I don't like it as much as the she boss's or the old one because there isn't as much room for me by her feet and it's hard to get comfy when we're going a long way.
Have you seen these jumpers and things for dogs? We saw one at the shops when we were away. He looked stupid! Warm, but stupid. Doesn't he know how much everyone was laughing at him. Maybe when I'm old I'll be glad of something like that but now, what's wrong with a good run to keep warm?

Returning friends

Beth's come home to see me and I'm sure I heard her say she'd missed me. The only other person who ever says that is the she boss. It's nice to feel appreciated. She seems to come always in that funny little car now so it must be hers. Perhaps she'll give me a ride sometime. It would be fun with the roof down - that's if it ever stops raining.

Life and recycling

This she and he boss of mine are very busy - always coming and going. Still, it keeps life interesting and it's been a really nice weekend with lots of visitors. The friend Peter has been to see me a few times this week and this weekend there's been Beth with a fancy new car and even Ed! Haven't seen him in a while. AND they all had chicken today so I've had a lovely dinner tonight with the promise of more to come. I do like having friends. Hope you like the pic. It's me waiting very patiently and politely for food otherwise I know they won't give me any!

Since that picture was taken, we've had these boxes arrive which haven't left me alot of space to sit for my food. It's something to do with 'recycling'. Alot of fuss about nothing if you ask me (not that anyone does - they're too busy telling me what to do or telling me all their troubles) Anyway, back to recycling. What everyone needs is a dog. I eat anything although mostly it has to be organic, but I'll still give it a go. My favourite (apart from food in my bowl) is paper. So there you go. If everyone had a dog to eat most of it for them, especially the food scraps, they wouldn't need all these boxes.
I did hear the bosses might get charged for putting out too much rubbish. Even more reason to have a dog to eat it all.

Friends

I had a nice surprise last night. The she boss was going out so I snuck out with her for the ride and to see what she was up to and guess where we ended up?! My friend Bobby's. I even went in to say hello but she's getting on a bit now and couldn't be bothered to move out of her bed. Her he boss is always pleased to see me though and we had a good laugh together

Car rides

Hey, have you seen this big advert on the streets? Something to do with hearts. I was driving in the car when I saw this HUGE picture of a man cleaning his car - with a dog!!!!!!!! Mind you, he was only an excuse for a dog - one of those little yappy things although quite cute. I don't know how he was standing for that. You wouldn't catch me. I s'pose I wouldn't have enough fur to make it worthwhile so I'm probably pretty safe. It could be an alternative way of having a bath but I'm not sure which is worse really. Mmmmm
