Saturday

Things just aren't right. The she boss isn't her normal self and hasn't been since we came back from the seaside. She sits around too much which is nice for cuddles but gets a bit boring compared to usual. She makes barky noises sometimes too a bit like me when I've been out running and it's really cold but I don't do it for long. She's been doing it for days and I hear her doing it in bed too.
She's pushed the noisy sucky thing round the house today like usually happens today but I must say, she didn't do a very good job in my opinion. Too much corner cutting. At least she gave my blankets a good go so they feel a bit fresher. It's a lovely day outside and she should be taking me somewhere nice. I suppose it doesn't help that the he boss went off in her car early today though but we could have got on one of those train or bus things. I wouldn't have minded.

Poorliness

The she boss is not very well. I can tell cos she's really quiet and is just sitting sometimes instead of sitting and doing things. And when she's doing standing up things, like today when she's pushing the noisy sucky thing around, she's doing it slow.
She's been like this for a few days now on and off. I tried it myself the other night when my new friend, Sam was round. It's easy. I just stood in the middle of the room for a while looking sad. The she boss gave me a lovely cuddle. She even let me on her lap on the best armchair and I had a nice little snooze. I forgot to keep it up the next morning though so it was business as usual. I will do it again sometime though cos it's a good way of getting extra fuss and attention.
I hope the she boss is better soon. I don't like things being different.

Cleaning

It's that cleaning up day again today. I know the he and she boss really don't like it but I do. It's good fun when the she boss is going round the floor with her cloth cos she's down on my level for me to join in and/or tease her. I think Sheila who lives by us must have known what they were doing and that they don't like it cos she came round for ages to talk and drink our coffee.
The she boss did some cleaning in our outside room even and brought in the big umbrella. She's wrapped it all up so she must think the sunshine's finished for now. I must admit, it is looking that way. It hasn't really got light today at all. Still, she tells me that it will all start getting lighter again in exactly one month's time. I must ask her how many get ups that is as I can understand that better.
I did my bit and helped with the cleaning up. The she boss shooed lots of spiders out of the big umbrella before she wrapped it up but I spotted a stingy buzzy wasp in there. She opened up all the wrapping again so I could get it before it made itself too much at home. AND I did it before they'd vacuumed the carpet so it didn't matter that I made a mess. See, I do get some things right. Also, I knew you hadn't had a picture for a long time

Rainy Saturday

The she boss went out all day today again and left the he boss to do the cleaning with me. He's not as much fun. I see the bits he misses. He doesn't go round with that bit of cloth for a start that the she boss does and that's the most fun bit. Especially when she crawls round doing the low down bits. Her face is at just the right level then. I've tried to go with her a couple of times lately but she always catches me. I think it's got something to do with getting in the wrong bit of the car:

Saturday

It's been good to be back to a normal Saturday at last. Both he and she boss have been pushing those noisy things around the house and garden today as well as a different noisy thing that made the carpets all wet and I wasn't allowed on them. It's OK now though. I've snuck a quick roll around on them to check them out and to get my perfume back on them.
The she boss was getting rid of all the long grass round the edges with a new noisy thing and she got a frog!! (Stunned pa(w)use) I would never do anything like that to a frog. I think she was a bit sad so she can't have meant to do it

Dirty dogs

EVERYONE was having a holiday today. We saw them all when we went out. Something to do with the banks being closed. I took the he and she boss for a nice walk somewhere new and we ended up at a house called Haden Hill. I waited very patiently outside for the he and she boss and attracted a lot of attention for sitting so nicely.
I heard that people with dogs don't get ill so much with nasty infections and allergies. I thought that sounded good until I heard the next bit which was something about dogs being dirty and so it's because people are used to the dirt!! What a thing to say about us dogs. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/comment/columnists/giles_coren/article3862818.ece I'm not dirty. I get bathed at least once a year, any mud falls off me once it's dry, I have a good roll on the carpet or grass regularly to give my coat a rub. What more can anyone want? Just because sometimes the grass is a bit smelly where I roll and no one else seems to like the smell. Bit like beauty in the eye of the beholder, smells are in the nose of the smeller.

Another day out

Well, I said I wondered where I’d go today. I went with the she boss to the Friend Peter’s. We did cleaning there and I helped but it wasn’t Saturday. I licked up a lot of the sticky patches of the kitchen floor and ate lots of train tickets that were lying around and they were very grateful. If I hadn’t been there to help, it would have taken them a lot longer. We went for a walk in the sunshine in the park then.
The he boss wasn’t here last night. I don’t know where he’d gone but I always go up to the bedroom when the she boss goes up if he’s away 1) just to make sure he isn’t hiding up there really and 2) to make sure she’s safe up there on her own. I go back down to my bed though as you can’t beat your own bed.
I think Mal’s finished putting stuff on the walls and doors today so may not be back :( I’ll miss him. The walls are all nice and pale now. I can’t wait for a walk on a rainy day to come back and shake off all the mud in the hall :)

Baths

It's just occurred to me, I haven't had a bath this year!! Phew. How did I get away with that then? The days are getting too small and cold for the she boss to do it now too. She wouldn't be that cruel as they won't let me in the house for ages until I've dried. Something to do with wet hair. Don't know what the problem is myself. I would have thought my comfort was more important.
Anyway, I think I'm self cleaning. A bit like the oven only I think my self cleaning works better than the ovens. I don't like to say anything, but I think it's about time she saw to that

Car rides

Hey, have you seen this big advert on the streets? Something to do with hearts. I was driving in the car when I saw this HUGE picture of a man cleaning his car - with a dog!!!!!!!! Mind you, he was only an excuse for a dog - one of those little yappy things although quite cute. I don't know how he was standing for that. You wouldn't catch me. I s'pose I wouldn't have enough fur to make it worthwhile so I'm probably pretty safe. It could be an alternative way of having a bath but I'm not sure which is worse really. Mmmmm
